USA Polo Vintage Slub Green

This USA Polo Shirt is crafted from a breathable 100% slub cotton knitted in Los Angeles. Our goal was to find a mid-weight jersey that is both supremely soft and distinct. We required a fabric that would enable us to achieve a trim look and differentiate our polos from the standard ones you see every day. Slub cotton proved to be the perfect fabric. The horizontal grain and subtle cross hatching provides a vintage look and drapes perfectly. We garment wash and dye each polo which softens the fabric up wonderfully. In this case it's dyed a softly faded, vintage green. This jersey has enough heft and strength to stand alone, but is also breathable and thin enough to be a great layering piece. Wear it with our denim and sneakers and you're good to go whether in the office or out and about on the weekend.

We set out to strike the right balance between a tailored fit and an easy-to-wear piece. The shoulders are fitted, which keeps the overall look clean. The sleeves hit at just the right point on the arm and are tight enough to prevent them from winging out. The body is slightly tapered, but easy enough to not be mistaken as an undershirt. Finally, the length hits just right so it falls below the waist line, but does not cover your entire backside.

Construction details are classic and sturdy. The neck is taped, which adds effort to construction, but provides an extra touch of structure to the garment. Double needle hems finish the sleeves and bottom and a slightly narrower gauge is used to lend a small element of refinement. The sturdy placket has 3 mother of pearl buttons. They’re a stunning iridescent color that elevates the overall aesthetic. An angular chest pocket completes the front. Overall, this is the most intricately constructed garment in our knit line.
