Meet the Japan Pique Polos - honoring the classic appeal of a timeless garment while dialing up all the details. There is no better warm weather style when you want the perfect combination of comfort and classic looks.
Whenever we work on styles that have an incredibly rich history, like the polo, we always want to honor those roots while adding details that bring it up to the best of today’s standards. That process starts with fabric. If you want to go classic, cotton pique is your only option. If you want the best, go to Japan. Our version uses extremely high quality, long staple cotton. It has the classic raised texture that defines the pique weave, but unlike some versions that feel very dry and coarse, this one has an incredibly soft, almost moist hand feel. To us, a classic polo should have to have a touch of heft to it. This 7 ounce fabric is the perfect sweet spot. The bigger weight combined with this fabric’s natural softness makes it feel both old-school and luxurious. Top notch fabric has to be paired with all the right style cues: a perfectly sized collar, mother of pearl buttons on the placket, taped collar and the thoroughly classic tennis tail. A fit that is clean but not too slim completes the perfect package. This pink color is a vintage staple.
This is just one of those garments we’ll be living in all spring and summer. It’s iconic and we’ve respected that history in this USA-made version.
"I really love Gustin. I just don't think I'd choose another brand at any price point. And I love watching for new products/return of old favs. But a very important part of the experience is the great customer service."
