This style uses cotton cloth from one of the finest mills in Japan. Warm weather shirts have to be comfortable. With a 5 ounce seersucker base, this shirt has a solid weight combined with the amazing texture and gauzy feel that we love in seersuckers. A striped pattern with equal size channels of crisp white and bright red creates a visual texture vibrant and balanced. The end result is a look that has a touch of casual and formal. This one works with everything from chino shorts to raw denim.
Although the most traditional of Ginghams my be one color contrasted with white, adding in a bit more color sometimes makes everything better. In this case, it's a combination of 3 colors: a deep blue, jet black and crisp white. All three are wrapped in a classic gingham pattern and perfectly balanced. The black serves as a nice contrast to the bright white, while the blue really defines the overall look. A light weight and soft hand make this a dream to wear. This is quality Gingham in a shirt built for warm weather.
Our short sleeve button-up fits just like the long sleeve. It shares the same beautifully tailored body, not too slim, but definitely fitted. High armholes keep the body lines clean. A very gently scooped bottom hem that works wonderfully un-tucked or tucked. A no-button collar that’s perfectly sized to sit well. We removed the back pleat and locker loop, adding to the minimalist and casual nature of this style.
We labor over every construction detail. Extensive single needle stitching is used throughout. All our closures are made from true mother of pearl. The front placket is also pleated, made the right way, using a true two piece construction. The feel is more substantial and the effort higher, but it's the right way. An angular chest pocket completes the front.
