We challenged our dye house to come up with a new color for our sweatshirt and they delivered. They over-dyed our plush heather grey sweatshirt with a vibrant cayenne. The combination of complementary colors created a shade that you don't often see. We are only doing a limited run of these so get in on the campaign before they are gone.
This Gustin Sweatshirt is made from loop-back French Terry milled in Los Angeles. At 10 ounces, this style is great for layering during winter or thrown over a T-shirt on a cool summer evening. It's remarkably soft because we garment wash each sweatshirt. The top surface of the fabric is luxurious and smooth while the long looped bottom surface feels amazing when on. The neutral heather grey base paired with the vibrant red cayenne creates an exciting shade. It has great highs and lows and contrasts well with the vibrant red stitching. This is a sweatshirt to own and enjoy for years.
The fit of a sweatshirt is very important. We set out to strike the right balance between a tailored fit and an easy to wear piece. The shoulders are fitted, which keeps the overall look clean. The body is slightly tapered, but roomy enough so that it's superbly comfortable. Finally, the length hits just right so it falls below the waist line, but does not cover your entire backside.
Construction details are classic and sturdy. Flatlock stitching along the raglan sleeves and body creates an extremely comfortable and durable seam which lies flat to the garment. Double needle stitching is used to attach the heavy ribbed collar and ribbed "v" insert. Make no mistake, this inserted v shape is not all for show. It's a utilitarian feature that reinforces the collar by overlapping an additional layer of rib material. The added support will keep the collar from stretching out, even after years of wear. Vintage 3.5" thick-ribbed cuffs and waistband contribute to the old-school appeal and supply even more durability. This is the right way to make a sweatshirt, without cutting any corners.
Quality sweatshirts made in the USA with domestic materials are typically priced over $75 each. The Gustin model allows us to offer you a radically better value.
