Italy's take on an iconic workwear fabric captures the Hickory Stripe's iconic look while adding great color and wearability. Paired with our classic 5 Pocket you have a vintage style ready for today. The Italian Hickory Stripe 5 Pocket.
Aside from selvedge denim, the vintage Hickory Stripe is one of the most iconic workwear styles. Used as a uniform staple, it was built to last and be worn hard. We always like to see how Italy handles a classic. Like we have seen with selvedge denim and shirting, Italy has a special way with color and feel. They apply this to the Hickory Stripe. It starts with the classic vertical stripe, but with a slightly narrower gauge, lending a more refined look. The iconic color contrast is retained but the colors themselves are dialed up in new ways. Blue is replaced with black and contrasted with white in this version. The 10 ounce base weight is solid and the smallest touch of stretch greatly enhances the wearability. You feel like you've stepped back in time with this style and Itay's refinements make it even better.
